The Iron Chef compettion was held in North Bay on April 30th.

This was an individual competition, with a total of 13 competitors from all schools in the area, from Parry Sound to Sturgeon Falls to Mattawa, and all points in between.

Two students from FJMSS competed, Leah Lamothe (pictured above) and Justin Aucoin. Adam Burke represented ESFJM.

There were a total of fifteen competitors who made won tons and a dipping sauce, and then went on to make rice and stir fry vegetables.

There were no recipes and the students were evaluated on their cooking techniques, safety and sanitation, taste and presentation.

Leah Lamothe came in third place with 15/20 points and Justin Aucoin and Adam Burke each scored 13/20.

All three students competed hard and made Mattawa proud!
