Consolidating North Bay Hydro, ONTC divestiture keeps council talking

North Bay City Council meeting was expected to be a short affair Monday evening; however, nothing could be further from the truth.

The issue of keeping North Bay Hydro a separate entity from the province, along with the soaring costs of meters and the complications of integrating efficiencies in the community saw much debate.

As well, council again looked at the ONTC issue and further discussed its implications and the continued lack of information around the sale and divestiture in the works.

The rest of the evening saw some rezoning and authorization of small land parcels in the city as well as equipment and street light planning.
