OPP seeking public's help locating missing Espanola man Update

MANITOULIN ISLAND – Manitoulin OPP officers were involved searching for a missing Espanola.

Michael Thomas SEMENIUK age 45 years described as 6’ 4” and about 220 lbs was last seen in the Rockville area of Manitoulin Island on Thursday 12 April 2012.

A missing person investigation was started into his last know whereabouts.

Police believed the man may still be on Manitoulin Island and are concerned for his safety as he was last seen with a firearm.

He had not been seen or heard of since this disappearance.

The police appealed to the public to keep observation for this man. On Friday evening April 13, 2012 police located Mr. SEMENIUK in a safe condition.

Police wish to thank the public and media for their assistance into this missing person investigation.

Police will be completing their investigation.

Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are involved in a search for a missing Espanola man last seen in the Rockville area on Manitoulin Island on Thursday April 12, 2012. Police believe the man may still be on Manitoulin Island and are concerned for his safety.
Michael Thomas SEMENIUK is described as 45 years of age, 6’ 4” and 220 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen driving a 4-door 2009 Honda Civic Silver in colour bearing Ontario Licence # 846LLT. The OPP believe that he may be in possession of a firearm.

Police are appealing to the public for their assistance in observing for this man and his vehicle and are asking the public not to approach the man but to notify police if he is observed.
