Delaware Ave. man charged with assault police

At 5:52 PM 07 Apr a man in a bar on Delaware Av became upset with other patrons.

When a bar employee attempted to restrain the man he was struck several times with a pool cue.

When police arrived the man became verbally abusive then punched one of the officers.

Richard Auger 56yrs of Delaware Ave has been charged with assault with a weapon, and assault police.

Cst Gerry Martin is investigating.
