Fire Chief issues burning ban for the Bay Update

As of 3pm April 11, 2012, the ban on open burning in the City of North Bay is lifted.

Please remember that you require an approved burning permit to burn within the approved area.

Residents are reminded as well to take weather conditions, such as wind and fog, etc., into consideration while burning.

Due to the unusual weather for this time of year the bush area is extremely dry.

This along with the current weather conditions, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services is instituting a ban on all burning within the boundaries of North Bay.

The ban takes effect at 4:30pm April 6 , 2012
