St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School is preparing for its Spring Food Drive on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

This annual Lenten tradition will support the North Bay, Callander and Powassan Food Banks.

The Bears and partners from école secondaire de l’Odyssée will be canvassing the three communities from 5:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

This is the second consecutive year SJSH has added Callander and Powassan to its coverage area.

“St. Joseph-Scollard Hall has many students from outside of North Bay who attend our school,” said SJSH teacher and event organizer David Briggs.

“The expanded food drive will give our school community the opportunity to reach out further to help those in need.”

The teams will canvas the urban areas of North Bay, Powassan and Callander.

Those who live in a rural area and/or those who will not be home the night of the food drive but wish to make a contribution can drop off their donation at SJSH, l’Odyssée, St.Theresa or St. Gregory schools between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. the night of the food drive.
