OPP arrest impaired dirt bike driver

SUNDRIDGE - On Tuesday March 20, 2012 at approximately 7:40pm an officer from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police was patrolling on Main Street in the Village of Sundridge, Ontario. The officer observed the driver of a dirt bike to be operating without a helmet or a licence plate.

The driver of the vehicle stopped his dirt bike in a wooded area just south of Union Street in Sundridge Ontario. Police arrested the driver of the bike for having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.

The driver was taken to the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment where he was later released from police custody.

The driver, James BIBEAULT (25) of Strong Township was charged with Exceeding 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content/Motor Vehicle, Drive Disqualified and Breach of Probation, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. BIBEAULT is also charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Fail to wear proper helmet on motorcycle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

BIBEAULT is to appear in Court in Sundridge, Ontario on Tuesday April 3, 2012
