The Rotary Club of North Bay is involved with sponsoring Canadian multi-award winning and international Country Star, Gord Bamford, with his “Is It Friday Yet” tour stop at the Capitol Centre on Tuesday, March 27th, at 7:00 p.m.

A portion of each ticket sold for the show will be donated to the Club in support of Rotary for Kids projects in the area.

Rotary spokesperson, Tom Tucker, stated that “This form of fundraising is a first for the Club and the goal is to sell out the show.”

Tucker added “If this venture proves to be successful, it may lead to doing something along similar lines with the Capitol Centre on an annual basis.”

Gord Bamford, who picks guitar and pens songs with some of the best musical talent in the world, has shared the stage with artists such as Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, and the legendary George Strait.

In 2008, he established the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation, which in two short years raised close to $250 million. The Foundation’s proceeds are distributed to youth serving organizations.

Tickets are $42.50 and may be purchased online at www.capitolcentre.ca or 705-474-4747 or at the box office.
