Nominations open for senior achievement awards

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is encouraging constituents to consider nominating a deserving senior for an Ontario Senior Achievement Award.

“Once again this year, this award will highlight significant voluntary and professional achievements made by individuals after they’ve reached the age of 65,” said Fedeli.

“Please take the time to nominate a deserving individual in your community.”

The deadline date for nominations is June 15. Late nominations will be considered for the following year.

Last year, Callander’s Evelyn Masson was one of 20 Ontarians chosen for the honour.

“It was truly thrilling to be there in person to witness Evelyn receive her award from the Lieutenant-Governor in December at Queen’s Park,” Fedeli said.

“Maintaining strong and vibrant communities isn’t possible without people like Evelyn, and it’s important we pay tribute to those exceptional individuals.”
