SUDBURY - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Investigations and Enforcement Bureau attached to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) was called to investigate an incident relating to a Break Open Ticket (BOT) prize valued at $5000.

The investigation was referred to the OPP by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

The investigation revealed that three top prizes of $5000 for a “Strike it Big” BOT draw were paid out to winners, when in fact there are only two top prizes available.

The OPP has charged Diane LACHANCE, 32 of Sudbury, Ontario with:

One count of Fraud Under $5000

One count of Theft Under $5000

One count of Utter Forged Document and

One count of Personation contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on April 25, 2012.
