OPP charge Englehart youth with child pornography offences

Englehart - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Technological Crime Unit and the Temiskaming Detachment have arrested and charged an Englehart youth following an on-line undercover child pornography investigation.

On March 6, 2012 police executed a search warrant at an Englehart residence. As a result of this investigation, two computers were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.

On March 6, 2012, OPP arrested a 14 years-old youth from Englehart, Ontario. The offender is charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Make Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography. The accused was released at bail hearing on March 7, 2012 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, Ontario.

The investigation is continuing.
