Council to spend big bucks on public buildings, roads and garbage

Monday evening saw North Bay City Council announcing numerous projects and upgrades around the city. Of note, the North Bay Public Library has been slated for $850,000 in improvements.

As well, $750,000 worth of paving upgrades on Airport Hill were announced to begin when the frost lifts.

Finally, the Merrick Landfill will be seeing a leachate treatment program installed to meet mandatory provincial standards in treating the liquid run off from buried waste.

Although not confirmed as to whom, the Mayor has revealed that the Aerospace Park has attracted a new tenant.
