Canadore collaborates with industry leaders

Last week, Canadore hosted a strategic planning session with industry leaders to discuss trends shaping today’s ever-changing marketplace.

Canadore has hosted four occasions for business leaders to meet with College representatives to discuss new and existing partnerships and mentorship models.

"Working closely with industry allows our programs and our graduates to stay relevant,” said George Burton, President of Canadore College.

“Canada and the world’s economies are being powered by new concepts and technologies almost daily. It is key to consult with employers to identify the skills and knowledge we need to be teaching in the classroom to achieve graduate success.”

Over 20 business leaders from the business, health, aviation, trades and technology and financial sectors joined College representatives to discuss the vital changes needed within their industries to promote employment growth, expansions, operational efficiencies and sustainability.

Canadore has begun to develop a strategic plan for the next five years.
