LIPI wants you to join the Amazing Race North Bay style

Wednesday February 8, 2012 - LIPI is now accepting applications for its fundraiser based on the TV reality show, The Amazing Race.

This Northern Ontario version of Amazing Race is an annual fundraiser supporting LIPI – Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing.

Following the style of the TV show, the one-day event, which takes place on Saturday May 26, 2012, sees racers competing in teams of four in physical and mental challenges as they navigate through the city, local businesses and landmarks. The event will start and end at the West Ferris Legion.

Teams can pick up an application at the LIPI office at 127 Main Street East or visit www.lipinipissing.com to apply online .

Application deadline is Tuesday May 1, 2012. A $100 non-refundable team deposit is due upon registration and then each team must raise a minimum of $300.00 in pledges (receipts can be issued for donations of $10.00 or more).

LIPI is a non-profit charitable organization that has been delivering homelessness prevention and housing sustainability programs throughout the Nipissing District since 1985.
