Amelia Rising set to host volunteer recruitment fair

Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre of Nipissing is looking to recruit volunteers and board members.

The centre is hosting a drop-in Volunteer Recruitment Fair on January 30th from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. located at 101 Worthington St. E, suite #11, refreshments provided.

Attendees will have the opportunity to browse information booths and speak with staff, board members and volunteers about the many opportunities available within Amelia Rising.

Brenda Quenneville, Executive Director at Amelia Rising hopes to attract many different community members with unique skill sets.

“We are looking for volunteers for our Board of Directors as well as volunteers interested in providing direct encouragement and assistance to women who have experienced sexual assault through a variety of volunteer activities,” Quenneville explains.

Volunteering with Amelia Rising offers a unique and rewarding experience to work with others who are compassionate and committed to providing support to women who have experienced any form of sexual assault or abuse; and work towards the prevention of sexual violence. With your help we can continue to provide survivors with a caring and empowering environment to foster healing and growth.
