City police say be extra vigilant when approaching intersections

The North Bay Police Service wish to remind drivers to be extra vigilant when approaching intersections because recent snowfalls have increased the height of the snow banks.

There is another 5 cms forecast today and city yard crews may be several days before catching up.

Motorists on through roads are encouraged to be cognizant that vehicles at stop signs may have a restricted view and poor traction.

Pedestrians and joggers using roadways are reminded to face traffic and be aware that drivers have less manoeuvrability and restricted visibility in winter conditions.
