A deepening low will cross Southern Ontario today then into Eastern Ontario and Southern Quebec tonight. Snow heavy at times is expected to arrive near noon and continue into tonight. Total accumulations near 20 cm are likely by the time the snow tapers off overnight.

Brisk northeasterly winds will also produce occasional blowing snow this afternoon and evening.

Motorists should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions. Visibility will become very low at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Snow, heavy at times, will arrive near noon then continue into tonight as a deepening low pressure area moves northeast over Southern Ontario today then across Eastern Ontario into Quebec tonight.

..Heavy snowfall forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday evening..

A developing low will cross Southern Ontario on Tuesday accompanied by significant snow. The latest forecasting guidance is indicating snow will develop later Tuesday morning. Snow will become heavy at times in the afternoon and continue in the evening before tapering off overnight Tuesday. Total accumulations of 15 to 20 centimetres are likely before ending later Tuesday night.

A deepening disturbance moving into Northern Illinois this evening will cross Southern Ontario on Tuesday. It will reach the southern tip of Lake Huron around midday and then pass Barrie nearing Ottawa by evening.
