Toronto - Starting today, Bunch Family and the Stephen Lewis Foundation are daring kids across Canada to take the 30-day Dare to Draw challenge, where kids are given a daily drawing assignment and parents sponsor their efforts.

Dare to Draw is a group effort by influential parent media sites including Bunch Family, Parentcentral, WeeWelcome, and Bad Moms Club, who have each formed a Dare to Draw team and asked their readers to participate. Celebrities with kids, including Sloan’s Andrew Scott and ET Canada’s Rick Campanelli, are also participating and promoting the project.

All funds raised go to kids, parents and grandparents in Africa whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS.

“Parents want to raise caring kids. We often get letters from readers asking how they can get their kids involved in projects that give back to the wider community. That’s how we came up with Dare to Draw. By creating a drawing a day on a provided theme, kids in Canada will learn about the issues kids in Africa deal with everyday because of the AIDS pandemic, while raising money to help address these challenges,” said Bunch founder, Rebecca Brown.

Kid friendly themes, info sheets and a pledge card have all been created for the project.
