The Manitou Chapter of the I.O.D.E. has graciously donated some items to enhance the Health Unit’s new Dental Clinic. These items fall outside of the Dental Clinic’s regular funding from the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care. This donation will go a long way to help reduce the anxiety levels in children who are nervous about dental visits.

 2 sets of Sony wireless stereo headphones

 A variety of music CD’s for children

 One Little Tikes picnic table

The donated items will be used in the clinic’s operatories and reception area.

Quote

“Dental anxiety is quite common and making a child’s experience more comfortable and positive will help to ensure they return to the dentist when care is needed.”
- Pat Walpole Oral Health Program Manager
