CALVIN TOWNSHIP – On January 7th, 2011 at 12:45am, members of the Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a collision involving a snow machine on Brule Rd in the Township of Calvin.
It was determined upon arrival that a collision had occurred between a pick-up truck and a snow mobile.
The driver of the snowmobile was transported to the Mattawa Hospital by ambulance; however he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased is 22 year old Jessie MCLAUGHLIN of North Bay.
A post mortem will be conducted today.
The Technical Traffic Collision Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit of the OPP were on scene and together with the members of the Mattawa Detachment are continuing their investigation.
