Thank you to our North Bay Firefighters

Quite literally as the dust settles my mind begins to clear.

At a time of crisis there are so many things going on that it is hard to keep one’s world straight.

On the night of January 3rd, 2012 we stood watching in absolute horror as the businesses of Lefebvres Source for Adventure and Vested Interest Trading and our iconic building went up in smoke.

No words can describe the emotion.

Our proud and joy, our beautiful historic building built in 1911 that housed Lefebvres, a business soon celebrating it’s 100th birthday and Vested Interest Trading soon celebrating it’s 20thAnniversary up in flames.

It was absolutely devastating for us.

It could have been much worse however had it not been for the skill, the sheer determination, the incredible strength & the unwavering courage of our North Bay Fireman.

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for all they did that night.

With minus 30 degree temperature and cold winds they never let up for a moment.

They fought the fire from 8pm and all through the night and into the next day.

They fought and they fought hard.

So many of these courageous firemen we knew personally that night, including my very own brother.

The emotion to watch these incredible individuals do their job, a job they do each and every day was profound that night.

I want to thank them for every fire they fight because in each and every case someone’s life is in shatters and they do what they can with every ounce of their beings.

Thank you for doing what you do each and every day!
