Man stabbed during Main St. altercation

At 2:30AM 30th Dec numerous people were standing on the 100 block of Main St E near Wyld St when a man walked up to 3 men and asked one of them if he wanted to fight.

When the man replied no, the first man broke a beer bottle against the wall then hit him in the face with it causing a scrape on the man’s chin.

The assailant then walked towards Wyld St.

One of the other men followed the man but the assailant stabbed him in the face with the same beer bottle then fled the area.

This victim sustained a deep gash below his eye that required numerous stitches to close.

The North Bay Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the assailant in this incident.

He is described as a white male, 25-30 yrs, with brown hair and wearing a puffy style jacket.
