McCool and Fitzsimmons to lead Catholic School Board Trustees

At its organizational meeting on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board of Trustees acclaimed Barbara McCool and Shawn Fitzsimmons as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively for a third consecutive term.

Barbara McCool has served as Trustee with the Board since 1977, was Chair of the Board from 1999-2000 and 2002-2004, and was previously involved as both member and chair of the NPSC Special Education Advisory Committee for many years. Shawn Fitzsimmons was first elected to the Board as a Trustee in 2006 and has previously served on the Catholic School Advisory Committees of Mother St. Bride School and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board serves approximately 3100 students in 12 elementary schools across North Bay, West Nipissing, Mattawa, Powassan and Callander and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School in North Bay.
