The blue-green algae advisory reported on September 30, 2011 for Sturgeon Bay in the Township of The Archipelago has been lifted by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. Testing by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment has verified that the toxins do not persist in the water of Sturgeon Bay. This means residents and visitors may once again use the water in Sturgeon Bay for water private water systems, pets and livestock.
