The Electrical Safety Authority is notifying the public that Conglom Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately.

Name of Product: Luminus 13W, Compact Fluorescent Lamp

Units: Approximately 40,000 units in Ontario and 80,000 units in the rest of Canada.
Manufacturer: Taean (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., China.
Importer: Conglom Inc.

Hazard: The product does not comply with UL's safety requirements and is not eligible to bear the UL Mark.
The lamp may overheat and melt the enclosure exposing live parts posing a risk of fire and/or electric shock.
injuries or property damage were recorded.

Description: Luminus Brand, Model # P-17713 with date codes FL06, DA07, and LA07.

Sold by: Various retailers, Home centers and Bargain stores throughout Canada, from June 2006 to April 2007.
Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers who have purchased this specific unit should immediately stop using the product and contact Conglom Inc. to get instruction on how to receive replacement item.
