City police warn motorists to use extra caution and watch for deer

The Traffic Section of the North Bay Police Service wish to make drivers in North Bay and Callander aware of several collisions involving deer in the past few days and request that extra caution be given when driving in certain areas.

Acting Sergeant Jim Kilroy says that there have been three accidents involving deer in the last four days. Two have been on College Drive and one on Sage Road. It is recommended that speed be reduced when travelling in these areas, especially after dark, however the same consideration should be given on the south end of Lakeshore Drive, Pinewood Park Drive and most roads in and around Callander.
