Sundridge - Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fraud which occurred at the Royal Bank Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in the Village Sundridge.
Police suspect that on Sunday, November 06th, 2011 the suspect installed a “skimming device” which was capable of capturing confidential data from clients’ bank cards.
Police also suspect that a hidden camera was used to record the client’s confidential Personal Identification Number (PIN).
The suspect has been described as an East Indian male, mid 20s, wearing a white baseball cap, black winter jacket and baggy jeans.
The Ontario Provincial Police remind ATM users to conceal their PIN with their hand when making transactions at any ATM bank.
