Workers at Dyno Nobel Explosives in North Bay who are members of CAW Local 103 have ratified a new three year agreement with a ratification vote of 89% in favour.

“The Bargaining Committee is extremely pleased with the show of support from the membership for all the work it did arriving at this new Agreement”, said Brian Kelly, President of CAW Local 103

Highlights of the three year deal -- Wage increases of 2% in each year of the Agreement.
Supplemental Pension Benefit increased from $200 to $400 a month and a number of contract language changes.

“This was a tough round of negotiations at a time when company’s across the country are demanding major changes to collective agreements the Bargaining Committee was able to make improvements to their agreement”, continued Kelly.

“The Bargaining Committee believes that with a new three year deal in place Dyno Nobel has all the cost certainty it requires to secure additional work for the North Bay facility”, concluded Kelly.

The CAW Local 103 represents workers at Dyno Nobel North Bay, Brinks North Bay and Ontario Northland clerical, stores, rail and bus maintenance, on-board service Cochrane Station Inn employees, customer service clerks and crew management center employees in North Bay, New Liskeard, Englehart, Kirkland Lake, Rouyn PQ, Cochrane, Timmins, Hearst and Moosonee.
