In March 2011, the North Bay Police Service commenced a missing person investigation into the disappearance of Luke Joly-Durocher, age 20 of Temiscaming P.Q. Mr. Joly-Durocher had last been seen in the downtown area of North Bay and had been visiting a residence on Sherbrooke St. As a result of the police response and the assistance of the media, numerous tips were received and acted upon. In April, 2011 information was received from an apparent witness with specific details and information regarding what happened to Luke Joly-Durocher.
