Parents looking for a fun safe Halloween environment for their children found it at Northgate Shopping Centre and North Bay Fire Station #1 Monday night.

Thousands of area families streamed through the haunted house at station #1 provided by Widdiefield Secondary School students while the North Bay Trappers handed out candy. Families also headed over to Northgate where kids were challenged by the memory game in the Gateway Theatre Guild's Halloween Fun-House all while adding to their bounty of treats.

Station #1 event chair Chris Cuthbertson says once again the community heard the firefighters call for help and responded generously, making this year a tremendous success.
