Main St. E. man charged with assault with a weapon

At 11:15 AM 13Oct a man with a pellet hand gun confronted 2 men on the 400 block of McIntyre St E and then began firing the gun at the 2 men. One man was struck twice in the head causing a cut. The assailant then fled the area firing backwards as he ran.

At 11:33 AM Michael Nopper 21yrs of Main St E was arrested by police on Main St E. He was in possession of brass knuckles and a pellet gun was located later at a different location. He is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a prohibited weapon and 2 counts of carry concealed weapon.

He is to appear in court on Nov 22nd 2011.
