Fedeli claims his VicTory

The well-known and charismatic former North Bay Mayor representing the Conservative Party won the Nipissing Riding with a healthy margin in what many predicted to be a tight race.
The well-known and charismatic former North Bay Mayor representing the Conservative Party won the Nipissing Riding with a healthy margin in what many predicted to be a tight race. In fact, Fedeli, the seasoned politician; charming, cheerful and ever confidant, ran a masterful campaign filled with volunteers, radio ads and door knocking.

There must be something to the idea that attitude is everything as the new MPP was confident of his new position throughout the campaign. It's fair to say that many people will be interested to see if the PC change book will put any more money in their pockets with the Liberals winning the Province.

Fedeli's initial reaction was a mixture of nervousness and happiness and he thanked the people of North Bay for allowing him to represent them at the Provincial level. Vic said that he knew from early on in February that when he began knocking on doors, he was going to have a great reception with the voters. His victory was humbly a result of his hopes and prayers, making sure to have all the bases covered. He admittedly left nothing for the other politicians on the election table.

Fedeli knocked on thousands of doors during the course of the campaign and was quick to answer any query by voters had. As well, their campaign spent a tremendous amount of time in the outlying areas including Mattawa and Trout Creek shoring up support and building a strong party brand.

When asked what he felt his first job was to do, he admittedly said that he was ready to work hard and look deeper into the current controversy surrounding the ONTC and the rail car contract. He also spoke to the bigger issues of Ontario as a whole as to whom will form a minority/majority government and how it will hold up to the no doubt uneasy political forecast ahead as parties and cabinets get formed in office in Ontario.

At 10:15 p.m. Liberal Candidate Dr. Catherine Whiting appeared and conceded the win to Fedeli before heading back to thank her volunteers.

Fedeli stated he was ready to get down to work tomorrow and start getting results for Nipissing. He is eager to work intricately with the Ontario Government for the riding.
