City to run Operation Impact over the long weekend

The North Bay Police Service will once again participate in Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving long weekend in North Bay and Callander. Operation Impact is a provincial effort to aggressively enforce the laws that govern high risk activities of road users.

This year, uniform officers on general patrol, along with those assigned to RIDE programs, will be actively seeking out impaired drivers, distracted drivers and other moving violations of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

The North Bay Police Service will step up traffic enforcement in a continuing effort to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic within the City of North Bay and Callander. In short, the goal is to reduce injuries and save lives.
