Milton - With the generous backing of our first ever title sponsor, the P&G Pet Care Fundraise for Farley Month promises to be a real "treat" for everyone involved.

Nearly 300 veterinary practices across Ontario will hold individual fundraising and awareness campaigns throughout the month of October in honour of the Farley Foundation, a charitable organization which assists low-income seniors, disabled individuals, and women at risk of abuse* by subsidizing the non-elective/emergency veterinary care of the pets that mean the world to them.

Be a veterinarian for a day, shave-your-vet-bald, petting zoos, animal fairs, marathons, pet beauty contests, Santa photos, antique car shows, comedy nights at local bars, bake sales... veterinary clinics and hospitals really go all out during the annual P&G Pet Care Fundraise for Farley Month.

To help with their campaigns, the Foundation is arming veterinarians with lots of wonderful gifts for donors. Visit your veterinary clinic to find out how you can get:

* Our new, cool 2-in-1 collapsible (fabric) water/food bowls - great for traveling with your pets

* New, colourful Farley Foundation tattoos for kids of all ages

* Plus, P&G Pet Care (manufacturer of IAMS, IAMS Veterinary Formula and Eukanuba pet foods) has donated 13,000 boxes of IAMS ProActive HealthTM Biscuits!

The 2010 campaign raised close to $175,000. This year's campaign hopes to raise more than $200,000. Visit an Ontario veterinary clinic during the P&G Pet Care Fundraise for Farley Month campaign (October) and help us make a difference to people and pets in need.
