Two city men charged with possession of child pornography

On the 27th and 28th Sept members of the O.P.P. Child Exploitation Unit and The North Bay Police Criminal Investigation Unit executed two search warrants seizing computers at both.

Douglas Ferguson 28yrs of Trout Lake Rd was arrested on 27th Sept at his residence and charged with; make available child pornography, accessing child pornography and 3 counts of possession of child pornography.

Tyler Papineau 23yrs of Milford Cr was arrested on the 28th Sept at his residence and charged with make available child pornography, accessing child pornography and 2 counts of possession of child pornography. Both men were held in custody for bail hearings.

OPP News Release:

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (Project “P”), OPP Electronic Crime Section and the North Bay Police Service have arrested and charged two North Bay men following two unrelated on-line undercover child pornography investigations.

On September 27, 2011 police executed a search warrant at a North Bay residence. As a result of this investigation, three computers and other computer paraphernalia were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse. Douglas James FERGUSON, 28 years-old of North Bay has been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Make Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography, contrary to the Criminal Code. FERGUSON will re-appear for a bail hearing on October 11, 2011 in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay.

On September 28, 2011 police executed a search warrant at a North Bay residence. As a result of this investigation a computer was seized containing images of child sexual abuse. Tyler Scott PAPINEAU, 23 years-old of North Bay has been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Make Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography, contrary to the Criminal Code. PAPINEAU will appear for a bail hearing on September 29, 2011 in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay.
