The Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord (CSCFN) and the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) have joined forces to organize a celebration of Franco-Ontarian Day.
The celebration will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Hundreds of students attending French language schools throughout the city of North Bay will be marching in the streets wearing green and white, the colors of the Franco-Ontarian flag. The Francophone delegation will travel down Main, Fraser and McIntyre streets and gather at City Hall. The mayor of North Bay, Mr. Al McDonald, has confirmed his presence at the raising of the Franco-Ontarian flag, which will be held at 11:00 a.m.
All Francophone and Francophile organizations, as well as media and members of the community, are invited to participate in this celebration.
