On Thursday in Sudbury the leader of the NDP Andrea Horwath released the “Northern Platform” before heading to Sturgeon Falls for a brief “Meet and Greet.” Andrea stated in her platform “We will make it the law that Ontario’s money is spent here in Ontario to create good jobs. To start we will stop GO Transit refurbishing jobs from being shipped out and ensure they stay with the Ontario
Northland Transportation Commission based in North Bay.
Giroux stated, “Under the Liberal government this is just the beginning. If the decision by Metrolinx goes ahead it will kill hundreds of jobs in North Bay; and not just today but for generations to come.”
As the next Nipissing MPP Giroux stated, “The importance of maintaining and expanding sustainable jobs in our area will build our communities. The NDP will offer a plan for affordable change. It’s putting people first.”
