This week, approximately 10,500 students are returning to the thirty-four elementary schools and seven secondary schools in the Near North District School Board. Students were greeted by teachers, educational assistants and a diverse group of support staff.

Staff have been busy preparing schools for the arrival of students. Renovations and maintenance have been completed and a significant number of staff have been involved in training and professional development activities.

The Near North District School Board is pleased that further activities will take place to support student achievement for its students. Numerous programs are in place at both elementary and secondary levels to ensure the best outcome for all students.
