Verner – On August 30th 2011, members of the O.P.P. Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit in partnership with the West Nipissing Police Service, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a property located on McDonald Road in the municipality of West Nipissing.
As a result of this investigation an outdoor cannabis marihuana growing operation was located. 75 marihuana plants, with a potential street value of $75,000 was seized along with a ATV and $10,000 cash. Two males were arrested and charged. Robert Jackson was released and will appear in court October 06th while Douglas Hines has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
CHARGED ARE:
1. Robert Jackson, age 79 of Verner.

2. Douglas HINES, age 39 of Field.
