Amazing Race Fund Raising event cancelled

It is with great regret that Habitat for Humanity North Bay Blue Sky announces the cancellation of the 2011 Amazing Race Fund Raising event that was scheduled for Sept. 10, 2011.

The event, one of a handful of key fundraising initiatives, has been cancelled due to a number of factors, including a review of past and present events.

“There are a number of unforeseen factors beyond our control that have arisen and that have made this unfortunate cancellation necessary,” said Habitat for Humanity North Bay Blue Sky Chair, Ken Hollington.

The organization would like to thank the teams that had registered for their ongoing support and extend a special thanks to the corporate sponsors that had already pledged to the event.

“We hope to rekindle this event next year as a bigger and better event,” said John Humble, Vice Chair.

Additional fundraising events and opportunities will be announced in the near future.

This year, Habitat for Humanity North Bay Blue Sky is helping build two houses in North Bay Blue Sky Region. Since it was formed, the local Affiliate of this international organization has built a total of three houses, helping ensure that the families of this region have the opportunity to realize their dream of affordable home ownership.
