The Rotaract Club of North Bay–Nipissing has again partnered with the North Bay Canoe Club for the 3rd Annual Up the Creek Without a PADDLE. This exciting fundraising event will take place at Olmsted Beach on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. in support of the Providing Adults with Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Experiences (PADDLE) Program.

The event will find local politicians, business leaders and other community members stranded in a dragon boat on Trout Lake where they will have to solicit donations from their friends, families and colleagues in order to earn a paddle to return to shore.

Members of the North Bay Canoe Club have also been collecting pledges for a spin-off event called PADDLE for PADDLE and will be paddling around the lake throughout the event in support of the program. All are welcome to attend activities on the beach while cheering on our participants.
PADDLE is a growing, community-based program that provides adults with special needs lifelong learning experiences through academics, physical fitness, life skills education, recreation and leisure. To learn more about PADDLE visit www.paddlenorthbay.ca.
