City woman charged with 16 counts of fraud

An investigation into purchase transactions at a local department store has resulted in a cashier being charged with 16 counts of Fraud.

Sherri-lee Rochon 44yrs of Hwy 11 N is to appear in court on Sept 27th.

It is alleged that when purchases were made by customers, the transactions would subsequently be cancelled and the money used by the cashier to purchase gift cards. The receipts for the gift cards were then added to the next customers receipt.
