At approximately 0300-hrs June 25, 2011, while at a Gormanville road residence, A male victim was assaulted by a 33-year-old-male, when the victim attempted to come to the aid of a female in the residence. It is alleged that while the victim was struggling with the accused, he was bitten several times then struck with a fry pan, leaving a large gash on the top of his head.

Upon police arrival, the accused was pointed out and he immediately became combative with police, while he was arrested and restrained. The accused then assaulted the arresting officer by head-butting the officer and kicking him. A second officer that assisted was bitten on the finger causing a fracture injury and contusion that required medical assistance. Cst Jackson, Parker & Carleton of the North Bay Police are investigating.

Carl Harrison, of Moosonee ON, is being held in custody charged with: Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault Police (2-counts), and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
