On Friday, June 24th Easter Seals held their 3rd Annual Ladies Golf Tournament for Easter Seals Kids at the Pinewood Park Golf Course. In spite of the weather, the tournament was a huge success raising $9,830.00 for local Easter Seals kids. Ladies enjoyed a day full of indulgences including personal caddies, specialty holes, gift bags, a silent auction, many hole-in-one chances, and the new favourite, the longest marshmallow drive.

Easter Seals would like to thank everyone that made this tournament such a wonderful success. Without the generous support of our corporate hole sponsors, specialty hole sponsors, silent auction donors, volunteers and, most importantly, our golfers, this tournament would not have been possible.

“We are very pleased that the 3rd Annual Ladies Golf Tournament for Easter Seals Kids was a monumental success. All the women had such a good time being pampered at the holes. It’s rewarding to know that the monies raised from this tournament is going to go towards the local Easter Seals kids that really need it,” said Marc Baril, Chair of the Easter Seals District Council.

Easter Seals Ontario was founded in 1922 with a vision to create a better life for children and youth with physical disabilities. Since then, Easter Seals has been providing financial assistance for essential mobility equipment and communication devices, such as walkers, wheelchairs, porch lifts and ramps to families who require additional help and support in raising a child with a physical disability. Easter Seals also owns and operates two fully accessible summer camps and provides funding for children with physical disabilities to attend other recreational programs.
