City woman arrested in connection with daughter's death

Northumberland OPP have arrested a North Bay woman in connection with the death of her daughter.

Reports indicate that on April 24th 16-year-old Tasha Lavigne of Campbellford was found dead at a bed and breakfast located at 60 Grand Road in Campbellford east of Peterborough.

On Tuesday Northumberland OPP arrested Cindy Lavigne, 46, and charged her with manslaughter and trafficking.

Lavigne was in a Cobourg court for a bail hearing today, but the proceeding was put over until Monday and she remains in custody.

OPP continue the investigation.
