Nominations for this year's best front yard garden are now open

North Bay Blooms Chair Bill Hagborg is pleased to announce that nominations for best front yard garden 2011 are now open.

Most of the nominations are again expected to come from Canada Post carriers who enjoy speaking with our community gardeners along their delivery routes. This year nominations can also be made through Burrow's, Laporte's, L'Ami's and online at the Blooms website.

Judging will be of front yard amateur gardens only. First round judging will be done of the over 100 local nominations expected by the North Bay Horticultural Society and final top three will be selected by the North Bay Master Gardeners.

Wednesday Clean Up Nights are still on the go if you or your group would like to help out with a clean up night please let them know.

Photo Metro will also be sponsoring a flower photography contest this summer.
