Two men arrested in stolen copper and brass case

Over the past week 1100 pounds of copper and brass was stolen from a Worthington St E business.

At 4:00PM on June 7th two men were arrested when they attended a local salvage yard and sold the copper and brass for $3012.00.

Kurtis Belanger 20yrs of Park St North Bay and Karl Mirault 19yrs of Papineau Rd Mattawa are both charged with Possession of Stolen Property.

Belanger was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Mirault is to appear in court on July 19th. Cst Aaron Northrup is investigating.
