Severe thunderstorm warning in effect

As of 9:32 PM EST Tuesday 31 May 2011, Environment Canada issued the following Severe thunderstorm warning for North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa and West Nipissing - French River.

Weather radar indicates several clusters of severe thunderstorms over or approaching these regions. Damaging wind gusts in excess of 100 km/h and large hail are likely associated.

Remember that some severe thunderstorms can also produce tornadoes.

Monitor weather conditions and take immediate safety precautions if threatening weather approaches.
