6th annual RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest goes Sunday

The sixth annual RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at North Bay’s Lee Park, where we will welcome over a 1000 participants representing all parts of Ontario.

The RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest, which is part of a weekend of events, kicks off on Saturday, June 11 with all-day registration, a Fitness Expo and a Pasta Dinner. On Sunday, people of all ages will run or walk one of four courses and enjoy food, refreshments and entertainment for the whole family.

About RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest

Since launching in 2006, the RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest has engaged over 3600 participants in a day of events that helps raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in our region. The RunWalk4Patrick Family Fest is more than a fundraiser, though: it’s an opportunity to enjoy fitness, good health and community spirit.

The event offers four courses, all of which are wheelchair accessible:
Half-marathon
10 kilometers
5 kilometers
2 kilometers

A luncheon is provided FREE for participants, $10 for non-participants and $5 for children ages 12 and under.

Registration costs are payable by cash or cheque or you can register online at https://eventsonline.ca/events/run4patrick/. All proceeds raised support the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS education programs for youth.
