Starting June 1, the public can help support The Sunshine Foundation of Canada (Sunshine Foundation) by making a donation at any of the more than 600 LCBO stores throughout Ontario. Donation boxes for Sunshine Foundation will be displayed at LCBO checkout counters until June 30.

Proceeds from this campaign will help to fulfill the greatest dreams of children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. Since it was established in 1987, the Sunshine Foundation of Canada has fulfilled over 6,700 dreams for Canadian children.

Dreams such as nine-year-old Gisele's, whose face will adorn the coin boxes throughout the campaign. Gisele is challenged daily by a severe physical disability and dreamed of visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, Walt Disney World. Following her trip, Gisele's mom wrote to Sunshine Foundation: "Words cannot express the sparkle in Gisele's eyes and smiles on her face during her trip to Disney. For a short period in time her struggles seemed so small as the magic was so real. Thank you for your unselfish generosity and goodwill."

"The support and generosity shown to us by LCBO, its employees and especially its customers allows Sunshine to create lifetime memories for kids whose days are often filled with medical appointments, tests and treatments," says Nancy Sutherland, National Executive Director of the
Sunshine Foundation of Canada. "The support of LCBO's province-wide store network provides a unique opportunity to raise public awareness and funds to carry out the important work we do."

"LCBO is pleased to partner with The Sunshine Foundation of Canada and help improve the lives of individuals and communities across Ontario," says LCBO President and CEO Bob Peter. "We appreciate the unwavering generosity of LCBO's customers and staff who support these worthy causes
and, in turn, assist their fellow Ontarians."

The Sunshine Foundation of Canada is one of 25 provincial, as well as numerous local charities that will benefit from LCBO's province-wide donation box program in 2011. In 2010, LCBO raised a total of $5.4 million for charities through special programs and initiatives, of which $4.8 million was raised through in-store fundraising. In addition, LCBO's annual dividend transfer to the Ontario government, which totaled $1.55 billion in fiscal 2010-11, excluding taxes, supports a wide range of important government programs, services and priorities, including
health care and education.

The Sunshine Foundation of Canada thanks the public for its support when shopping at their local LCBO store during the month of June.
